Typheny Mellinger

Hi, I'm Typheny! I've been leading worship here at Calvary Chapel Eastside for about 5 years. My husband and I call this church home and consider the congregation our family. I've grown up in Calvary Chapel Christian churches my whole life and have been serving in worship ministries since I can remember. I attended the School Of Worship in 2012/2013. Although I lead worship on guitar every week, piano is my main instrument. When I'm not at church, I'm teaching piano and guitar independently, and spending time with my husband, friends and family. Our worship ministry is made up of about 25 volunteers from the worship team on stage, to the sound and tech teams behind the scenes, who all work together to lead worship every Sunday and Thursday. Each of them show up week in and week out and are dedicated to serving Jesus and they're church. We strive to lead the church into a time of worship and praise of our Lord without being a distraction. Our heart is that we would all be used as vessels for the Lord to be worked through, and that people would see Jesus, not us. We have been beyond blessed with so many talented musicians and vocalists, but are always growing our team where the Lord provides.
